Before your session
Before your photo shoot, we'll schedule a meeting with you. This can be over a drink or cup of coffee, or at our studio. We'll get to know each other a little, and we'll ask you what your goals are for the photo session. Feel free to bring reference material like books or magazines, or a special piece of clothing or prop that you'd like to highlight. If there is a particular style of photography that appeals to you, we can ensure its influence is reflected in your session photos. If you're not set on one thing or another, we'll all brainstorm to develop a unique session theme.
Prior to your session, we can continue to develop the theme and wardrobe – we can even help you get a special costume, if you have something in mind, but not in your closet. Do you want to play dress up like a glamorous goddess, sassy schoolgirl, a vintage pin-up, or a provocative power broker? Is there a look that you find simply, undeniably appealing? What about nothing at all?
After the meeting, we'll schedule the shoot with you. Sessions are usually at our studio but your session can be at any location where you'll be comfortable. We've had shoots in homes, in the woods, on the street, and just about everywhere you can imagine. Knottie Pictures works with you to create something completely original, tantalizing and amazing that shows off your unique style and beauty.
